Mastoplasty

This procedure otherwise known as a "breast lift" is performed to elevate and reshape breast that are sagging or loose as a result of pregnancy, weight loss, or aging. There are three different technique used to raise the nipple and remove the excess skin from the breasts resulting in a lift. The technique that is appropriate for the patient can be determined after the doctor examines the breasts. A patient may desire a fuller, rounder look that cannot be achieved by mastopexy alone in which case breast implants may be recommended along with the lift to obtain optimal results. The picture shown below is after a mastopexy without using implants.
